Coming to Hiram Scott in 1969 was a bit scary becuase it was so far from home and a place I had not even heard of. However, I was able to fit in and made friends easily. The school was small, but not to small and very diverse being in Nebraska. There was not a lot to do, but we found outlets and had good times. One of favorite was going to the eating establishment in the student union to play cards and stuffed myself out many a night buying and eating on french fries.

Above everything, HS offered a good education, quality teachers and many friends, some of whom I still have contact with.
