Occupation: Teacher
Activities: Don't know if I could really consider myself a student at HSC. I took a couple of classes there in 1970; one was Dad's which, of course, was the best class I ever had.
As a high school student in Scottsbluff, I remember having several friends from the college. Many students, who became friends, used to come out to the Manley ranch to ride horses or get a homecooked meal. It was a great time.
I tried to follow Dad's footsteps, but without the success. I've been an elementary teacher for years, as well as a city administrator; elementary principal, a consultant for the Nebraska Department of Economic Development and a presenter of history programs to schools and communities.
I am currently in Utah teaching 4th grade. It's hard teaching when you have the mindset of a grandparent...see them for a minute, spoil them and get rid of them! Someday I hope I can up-date much of the material Dad had so I can
keep his legacy and philosophies of communities alive.
