Plans Examining
Supervisor.
I married a fellow student, John C. Crosby, in 1971. We had a son,
Jason, in 1975; we were divorced in 1979. I began working for the
City of Aurora, Colorado in 1979 in the Fire Department. I currently
am a Plans Examining Supervisor with the Building Department in the
same city, having worked my way up from a building inspector, to a
plans examiner, and then to supervisor. I will be retiring from the
City in February of 2004 after 25 years. (I think that's long enough,
don't you?) I have been lucky to have a very special significant other
for the last 13 years. His name is Ron Locke and we met at work. He
retired from the City at the end of 1995 and has enjoyed remodeling
our house since then. When I have retired, we intend to travel and
see the parts of this country neither of us has experienced. My step-son
and his wife will be making us grandparents for the first time early
next year, which we are anticipating eagerly. Our son Jason recently
married Alisa; they will be accompanying us to Scottsbluff on the
reunion weekend. We had planned this trip to visit my father, who
now lives there, before I was aware of the planned reunion, but I
am looking forward to attending some of the festivities.
