I missed the draft
after being caught with weed. Attended different colleges. Got
married in '74. Have 2 daughters 23 & 19. Graduated from
Columbia University in NYC and Grad School there as well. Spent
many years working on the railroad before graduation. Married
for 29 yrs. divorced in '03.
Visited
the old campus in '01. Many memories came rushing back. Vic's
Pizza Palace, the Movie Theater, the old bus depot, and the
dorm. The greasy spoon and Ben Franklins.. and the drive in
where I couldn't resist a burger. Gering. What memories. I went
and sat in the lecture hall.. remebering Dr. Robinson, and the
weekly movies.. basketball at the "tubs". Skinner
Hall.. I could go on... The Vietnam vets monument outside the
admin building remains stirring and haunting. If anyone remembers,
Frank Adams, Bob Neceda, Randy Cruise, George Cranmer, Larry
Brown, John Robish, Jack Lyons, Bill Reed, so many more....tell
them I'm out here... it was only a year but one I'll never forget.
