I was issued a full-ride scholarship from Hiram Scott because my high school in Hyannis, NE accepted their student teachers. It was devastating to me when I learned that HS was closing it's doors for financial reasons. I loved two of the Deans, Dean Robbins and Dean Clay. I used to babysit for Dean Clay's little ones. It was an exciting, totally new experience for a country girl to attend that liberal arts college and meet so many people from the east coast. Sadly, through the years, I've lost touch with many, although I do still exchange Christmas cards with a couple.
