Anthony Marinaccio, PhD, 99, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012.
Mr. Marinaccio was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and moved to The Villages in 1997 from Silver Spring, Md. He was professor emeritus at George Washington University, was superintendent of schools in several cities; taught Italian language courses in The Villages; was a guest columnist for the Daily Sun for a number of years and was the founding president of Hiram Scott College, Scottsbluff, Neb.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine; sons Warren, Hilton Head, S.C., and Anthony Lee, Shanghai, China; daughters Karen Beacon, Lincoln, Neb., and Linda Pucci, Maryville, Tenn.; stepdaughters Dianna Ares, Gainesville, and Nancy Wilber, Chatham, Mass.; sister, Lydia, Trumbull, Conn.; brothers James Marin, Norwalk, Conn., Paul Marinaccio, Sequesta, and Charles Marinaccio, Washington, D.C.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. An open gathering will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Villages Hospice.

Dale M. Langer, 59, of Columbiana, Ohio passed away Sunday, Nov. 13 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. Dale was born on Nov. 28, 1951 in Euclid, Ohio. A 1970 graduate of Columbiana High School, he attended the Hiram-Scott College in Nebraska. He had been employed by the Youngstown Propane Co. as a salesman for over 20 years.
Scott K. Hartman, 59, of Scottsbluff, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Scott was originally from Torrington WY and was a student at HSC.
Robert "Bob" Datel, 78, of Mitchell, passed away July 6, 2011, at Regional West Medical Center after battling ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease. He graduated from the University Of Wyoming receiving a degree in accounting. He worked at The Hiram Scott College as the school Business Manager before starting his own business.
Father Ed Cortney - June 26, 2011 at Chadron, Nebraska. He was the Newman Center Chaplain at HSC from 1969 until it closed in 1971. He was appointed Counselor at the college during the 1971 Summer Sessions.

Dr. Jerry “Guyboy” Daniel Rogers, Ph.D., 67, of Pittsburg, died on March 25, 2011.
Jerry was a marketing professor at Kelce College of Business at Pittsburg State University from 1981 until his retirement in 2005. He had also taught at College of the Ozarks, Hiram Scott College and Southwest Missouri State University.
Daniel Patrick McGinnis, 65, of Charlotte, N.C., passed away Sunday, Jan. 16. 2011
Born Aug. 30, 1945, in Ottawa, he received his BA degree in history at Hiram Scott College in Scottsbluff, Neb., prior to serving in the U.S. Army.

Michael Anthony Esposito, 62, died on Friday, July 9, 2010. Mr. Esposito received his bachelor’s in business administration from Hiram Scott College in Scottsbluff, NE and worked as a Passaic County NJ Probation Officer from 1970-1987.
Calvin Lenhart, age 85 of Scottsbluff, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010, at his home. Cal was an original investor in HSC and Secretary to the Board of Directors and attended our reunion in 2002.
Kai Carlson, 61, of Potter, Neb; June 6, 2010 at her home. She graduated from Potter High School in 1967. Kai then attended Hiram Scott College in Scottsbluff. Her continued education included RN, BS, BSN, CCRN and CEN degrees in nursing.

William G. Phile, Manahawkin, NJ, died May 16, 2009, Grew up in Delanco, NJ. Attended Riverside High School and graduated from Trenton Junior College and later graduated from Hiram Scott College. He retired after 29 years from the Hercules Company as the Director of Data ommunications.
Helen Williams, 83, of Scottsbluff, died on Nov. 12, 2008, at her home. Helen was employed at Hiram Scott College in Scottsbluff were she cooked for the college students.
